Description
Doxee is the brand name for Alto Healthcare's tetracycline antibiotic drug, Doxycycline. Doxycycline is used to treat various bacterial infections such as urinary tract infections, intestinal infections, respiratory infections, eye infections, gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis, and periodontitis (gum disease). It's also a popular treatment for acne and rosacea, as it can treat blemishes, bumps, and acne-like lesions.
doxycycline effects
The antibiotic is used to treat moderate to severe inflammatory acne, or mild inflammatory acne that has improved even with other treatments. This type of acne appears when bacteria grow in the pores of the skin that are blocked and this causes a red, inflamed bump. Doxycycline prevents acne by reducing the amount of Cutibacterium acnes (acne-causing bacteria) on the skin and also decreases the appearance of acne by reducing inflammation.
How to take doxycycline pills
Doxycycline tablets should be taken at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal. Doses are generally in the range of 100 mg to 200 mg (1 to 2 tablets) per day. The medicine is usually taken for 7 to 14 days or until your skin has improved.
