Gona-Max

Description

Gona-Max is the brand name for a hormone called human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) and is produced by the pharmaceutical company Maxtreme. HCG is commonly called the pregnancy hormone because it is produced by cells in the placenta. It is prescribed to pregnant women to promote healthy growth of the uterus and fetus. In men, HCG is prescribed to help treat symptoms of hypogonadism, such as low testosterone and infertility. Therefore, it is commonly used to prevent hypogonadism and testicular atrophy from steroid use.

HCG Effects

After about 6 weeks of steroid use, natural hormone production begins to be negatively affected and testicular atrophy may occur. Therefore, HCG is used during or after a steroid cycle to restore hormone production. The medicine helps maintain the production of important hormones such as progesterone, estrogen, and testosterone.

When the natural production of testosterone has been reduced by the use of anabolic steroids, HCG stimulates the cells of the testicles to produce more testosterone and sperm to restore production to a normal level. This helps avoid steroid side effects like hypogonadism and infertility and restores testicular size.

HCG Administration

Maxtreme produced this medicine in 3 vials containing 5000IU of HCG as a dry powder and 3 ampoules containing a liquid solution. The substances are mixed and then injected intramuscularly. It is only necessary to take HCG if the steroid cycle is longer than 6 weeks.

The medicine can be used during a steroid cycle to keep hormone production at a normal level throughout the cycle.Alternatively, HCG can be used with other medicines after a steroid cycle during post-cycle therapy (PCT). This is a process that restores normal hormone production after it has subsided.

When HCG is used during a steroid cycle, the dosage is 250-500IU per week. If HCG is used during TPC, the dosage is in the range of 500-2000IU. The injections should be done every 5 days and should last about 3 weeks (a break of at least the same amount of time should be taken before using the medicine again).
