Description

How to apply Zovirax

Each gram of Zovirax 5% contains 50 mg of acyclovir in a cream base. The recommended dose of acyclovir depends largely on the individual characteristics of your body and the severity of the condition you want to treat. For this drug to be effective, it must be taken every 4 hours since the half-life of Acyclovir is 2.5 to 4 hours. For acne, infections, or inflammation, start by applying the cream to the infected area every 3 hours, 6 times a day, for 7 days, then gauge how your body reacts to that dose.Use a rubber glove to apply the cream to avoid overdosing through other parts of the body or spreading the cream to other people.
