How to take azithromycin pills
To reduce acne, azithromycin tablets are usually taken once a day with or without food. Depending on the severity of the acne, it is taken for about 1 to 5 days and the daily dose is in the range of 300 mg to 500 mg (3 to 5 tablets). It should be taken at the same time every day.
Do not take antacids that contain aluminum or magnesium within 2 hours before or after taking azithromycin, as this will reduce the drug's effectiveness.
