Description
Ekovir 200 from John Lee is a drug that contains the active ingredient Acyclovir, which is an antiviral. Acyclovir is used in medicine to treat infections caused by viruses. This includes herpes simplex virus infections, chickenpox, and shingles. It is sometimes used off-label in combination with a steroid (usually prednisolone) to treat Bell's palsy. Additionally, it can be used to treat acne and pain and inflammation following steroid injection.
Acyclovir Effects
Acyclovir works by inhibiting the multiplication of viral DNA in the body. The medicine does not eliminate the virus in the body, but it will reduce the symptoms of infections.
The drug can reduce the severity of symptoms and their duration. For viral infections, it can stop skin sores and acne from forming and help them heal much faster. It can also help prevent the spread of viruses in those with weak immune systems. Acyclovir can also reduce pain, irritation, and inflammation of the skin in areas where there are sores, acne, or at the injection site.
