Description

Tretizen-10 is an oral drug produced by Zen Labs. The main active substance in the drug is isotretinoin, which is a retinoid and a derivative of vitamin A. It is used to treat severe acne that does not respond to other treatments, including antibiotics. In addition to acne, the indications for the use of the drug are rosacea, perioral dermatitis, seborrheic dermatitis, folliculitis, granuloma annulare, sarcoidosis, various keratinization disorders and photoaging.

Isotretinoin Effects

The drug has many effects, including anti-seborrheic, anti-inflammatory, sebostatic, immunomodulatory and keratomodulatory. The drug can improve the regeneration processes in the skin. The mechanism of action is based on the ability to influence the composition of sebum, reduce its production and ensure rapid excretion from the sebaceous glands. When taken, there is a suppression of the production of the sebaceous glands, a narrowing of the ducts and a decrease in their number. The half-life of isotretinoin is 19 hours.

Recommendations for use

The Zen Labs medicine is taken orally with food. The optimal dose of isotretinoin for severe acne is determined on an individual basis, but is usually 0.4-0.5 mg/kg body weight/day. For mild to moderate forms of acne, a dose of 10 to 20 mg per day is usually adequate. The recommended duration of use depends on the dose and varies with everyone.
